HC Deb 12 July 1974 vol 876 c585W
Mr. Viggers

asked the Minister for the Civil Service what would be the cost to the Exchequer of paying to the widows of all Civil Service pensioners full pension for three months at the rate applicable at the pensioner's death, thus ending the present anomaly by which only widows of pensioners more recently retired are so paid.

Mr. Robert Sheldon

Records are not maintained in a form from which this information can be readily obtained and it would involve a disproportionate cost to public funds to carry out the necessary research.
