asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what has been the increase in the number of pensioners receiving supplementary pension since February of this year.

As at 29th January, 1974 a total of 1,827,000 people were receiving a supplementary pension. By 23rd April, the latest date for which figures are available, the number of supplementary pensioners had fallen to 1,821,000.
