§ Mr. John FraserOn 10th June 1974, 109 people were unemployed in Irlam and 1,156 in Stretford. I regret that corresponding percentage rates of unemployment are not available. Irlam and Stretford are part of the Manchester travel-to-work area for which the rate was 2.4 per cent. Rates can be calculated for this larger area as a whole but not separately for its constituent parts.
