HC Deb 11 July 1974 vol 876 cc560-1W
Mr. Geoffrey Finsberg

asked the Secretary of State for Industry how many places are at present unfilled on the Board of the Post Office Corporation; and from when each vacancy dates.

Mr. Gregor Mackenzie

There is provision under the Post Office Act 1969 for a chairman, a minimum of six and a maximum of 12 members. At present there are eight members in addition to the chairman. The post of Member for Finance and Corporate Planning was vacated on 31st December 1973 and I hope to make an appointment in the near future.
