Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Industry (1) what was the real increase in the total investment in plant, machinery and vehicles in Scotland for each year between 1967 and 1973, inclusive;

(2) what was the real increase in industrial investment in Scotland for each year between 1967 and 1973, inclusive;

(3) what has been the capital expenditure per annum by manufacturing establishments in Scotland for each year between 1967 and 1973, inclusive, at 1967 prices.

I regret that figures are not available at 1967 prices and the following table is in terms of 1970 prices. Figures for 1973 are not yet available, nor is any division by asset for 1970 and later years.
