§ Mr. Ridsdaleasked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) when the studies which are now in progress to establish a need for a lorry depot and lorry parks adjacent to the ports of Parkeston and Harwich navy yard will be completed;
(2) in view of the representations that have been made to him to establish a lorry depot and lorry parks adjacent to the port of Parkeston and Harwich navy yard, whether he will outline the action he proposes to take to solve this parking problem.
§ Mr. CarmichaelThe results of a joint Essex and Suffolk County Councils' survey of lorry traffic which will help to determine the need and best location for a lorry park to serve the area are expected in about three months' time. I shall consider what action needs to be taken when the report is available.
