§ Mr. Newensasked the Minister of Overseas Development what support Her Majesty's Government are giving to plans formulated at the Paris meeting organised by the Bank for Reconstruction and Development on 16th October 1973, at which Great Britain was represented, to provide additional aid for South Vietnam.
§ Mrs. HartThe Paris meeting discussed aid not solely to South Vietnam, but to Indochina as a whole. The British Government then confirmed their willingness to take part in an internationally organised reconstruction programme should one be established. No plans were formulated and no further meeting has taken place.
