asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science how many colleges of physical education for males and females, respectively, are in use at the present time; how many applicants with suitable qualifications applied for admission for the oncoming session; and how many were accepted.

In England and Wales there are four colleges of physical education for women and one for both men and women. In addition, four other colleges for men, 10 colleges for women and 90 colleges for both men and women offer physical education as a main subject of study.
