§ Mr. Eldon Griffithsasked the Secretary of State for Industry if, in the light of the Post Office's claim that its dispute with the Price Commission means a loss to this public corporation of £500,000 a day, he intends to permit telephone charges to be increased by up to 18 per cent.; and whether in these circumstances he will set up a working party to consider the relative advantages of private telephone service such as that in the United States of America and the public owned and managed part of the corporation.
