asked the Minister for Energy whether permission has now been given to the CEGB to commence work on the proposed oil-fired power station at Inswork, Millbrook.

Mr. Emery

The CEGB has received consent under Section 2 of the Electric Lighting Act 1909 and deemed planning permission for Inswork Point, but has not received investment approval. Preliminary survey work is in progress. The approved by the Pay Board as being in conformity with the terms of the Government's pay code in December.
