asked the Secretary of State for Defence how many civilians are employed in Scotland by his Department ; and if he will give a breakdown of the figure by Scottish planning regions.

The number of civilians currently employed by the Ministry of Defence in Scotland is 20,472. A breakdown of this figure by planning regions the next stage of alignment with the present EEC guide price had been implemented, and second in the case that alignment had taken place with an EEC guide price 10 per cent. higher ; and to what extent these duties would be affected by MCAs.
