§ Mr. Pavittasked the Secretary of State for Social Services, when additional staff are employed to service joint committees consisting of several local authorities and health authorities, how the cost will be met.
§ Sir K. JosephThe costs incurred in servicing joint committees of local and health authorities will be met in accordance with an order to be made under Section 10(4) of the National Health Service Reorganisation Act 1973, which will pro-vide for costs to be shared equally between the health authority on the one hand and the local authorities on the other, with apportionment by mutual agreement where more than one local authority is involved on any one such joint committee.
