§ Mr. WoodThe Government have undertaken to do their best to reach by170W 1975 the UNCTAD target of 1 per cent. of gross national product for net financial flows to the developing countries. They have not accepted the proposed subsidiary target of 0.7 per cent. for official development assistance. In 1972, the last year for which figures are available, net financial flows from Britain represented 0.96 per cent. of gross national product ; of this, official development assistance accounted for 0.39 per cent.
