§ Mr. Topeasked the Minister for Energy if he will clarify the position with regard 442W to the purchase of petrol in cans for use in motor cycles with fuel tank capacities of less than one gallon.
§ Mr. EmeryThe Motor Fuel (Restriction of Acquisition) Order 1973 does not restrict the sale of petrol in cans to motor cyclists if they have customarily purchased the fuel in this way, provided the fuel is acquired in a normal quantity from the purchaser's normal supplier and is not for use in a motor vehicle.
