§ Mr. EmeryI am satisfied that on the whole the maximum retail prices for paraffin referred to by the hon. Member176W are being observed. I have had reports of a number of cases of overcharging but the total has been small in relation to the number of paraffin retailers. Because some of the overcharging might be due to ignorance of the statutory instrument an advertisement appeared in the national and main provincial newspapers earlier this week to give wider publicity to maximum permitted prices. Such publicity should help to reduce cases of overcharging.
