HC Deb 01 February 1974 vol 868 c186W
Mr. Molloy

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland (1) if he will meet representatives of the Northern Ireland Civil Rights Association to discuss Government policy;

(2) what representations he has had from the Northern Ireland Civil Rights Association regarding Government policy;

(3) what his policy is towards the Northern Ireland Civil Rights Association; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Pym

The Northern Ireland Civil Rights Association has made representations on a number of subjects including detention, the security situation and the prevention of religious and political discrimination, as well as on individual cases in those fields. Due account is taken of the association's views. I have no immediate plans to meet representatives of the association, but, as I told the hon. Gentleman yesterday, I am always ready to receive representations.
