asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many building workers are at present unemployed; and what is the total annual cost of their unemployment pay.

On 11th November there were 111,709 unemployed people in Great Britain who last worked in construction. The figures for a small proportion of employment offices are estimated. Information about the amount of unemployment benefit paid to building workers is not available.
