§ 53. Sir David Rentonasked the Secretary of State for Industry, in view of the fact that the internal price of waste paper has recently fallen owing to the quantity of imports, if he will take steps to regulate this matter in order to ensure the maximum use of indigenous supplies.
§ Mr. MeacherThe Advisory Group on Waste Paper Recycling which I chair is well aware of the effects of a volatile market on recycling and is actively seeking long-term solutions to this and other complex problems in order to secure co-ordinated increase in the collection and usage of waste paper.
