asked the Secretary of State for Industry if he will give a general direction to the British Steel Corporation to permit Members of Parliament to make visits to plants belonging to the corporation.

Mr. Benn

No. But I would expect that nationalised industries would always facilitate visits by Members of Parliament, and that workpeople in these industries would similarly expect such visits to take place.
