There are three local authority maintained residential homes for the physically handicapped in Wales —one in Clwyd, one in Mid-Glamorgan and one in Gwent.

There were, at 31st March 1974, 15 local authority maintained day centres for the physically handicapped in Wales—one in Caernarvonshire, two in Denbighshire, five in Flintshire, three in Glamorgan and four in Merioneth.
