§ Mr. Leslie Huckfieldasked the Secretary of State for Industry when he expects to be able to give further details about the future of British Leyland.
§ Mr. BennI shall be reporting further to the House when the motion for the affirmative resolution providing for the Government guarantee, now on the Order Paper, is considered.
§ Mr. Shersbyasked the Secretary of State for Industry if, when he submits to Parliament his proposals for a measure of public ownership of British Leyland, he will also indicate whether he intends to acquire shares or stock in the company; and, if so, when he expects to dispose of any such shares or stock in accordance with the provisions of Section 7(5) of the Industry Act 1972.
§ Mr. BennThe form of any holding in British Leyland and the period of its retention will be decided in the light of advice from the advisory team led by Sir Don Ryder.
