§ 42. Mr. Teddy Taylorasked the Secretary of State for Industry what consultations he has had with the representatives of the industries he proposes to nationalise.
§ Mr. MeacherConsultations are taking place with representatives of employers and trade unions in shipbuilding, ship repair and marine engineering on the basis of the Government's discussion paper. I have not yet begun consultations on our proposals for the aircraft industry, but I hope to do so shortly.
§ Mr. Dodsworthasked the Secretary of State for Industry if he will publish a further annex to the discussion paper "Public Ownership of Shipbuilding and Associated Industries" setting out the comments his Department had received by 30th September 1974 on the issues raised by the discussion paper.
§ Mr. MeacherI do not propose to publish these comments, but there is no reason why those who have submitted views should not make them public if they wish.
