§ Mr. Tomlinsonasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will make a statement on the industrial dispute which threatens to affect the production of the unemployment figures for December.
§ Mr. FootOn 29th November the Civil and Public Services Association decided to impose from 9th December a ban on work connected with the monthly unemployment count in the local offices of the Employment Services Agency. This could prevent the December count, due today, from being carried out. I understand that the ban has been imposed in support of a demand for more staff in the agency's local offices and that the agency is discussing the situation with the association.
