§ Mr. StrangAn end to hunger in the world can only be achieved by the efforts of the international community as a 549W whole, and it will need a series of good harvests. Among the measures proposed by the World Food Conference in which my Department will play a part are those concerned with a global information system on food and agriculture and world food security. My right hon. Friend the Minister of Overseas Development is responsible for many aspects of the conference proposals and made statements in reply to Questions on 25th November.
