HC Deb 04 December 1974 vol 882 cc475-6W
Mr. D. E. Thomas

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the total number of places at residential homes for the physically handicapped in Scotland, expressed per 1,000 population.

Mr. William Ross

At 31st December 1973 there were 1,076 places in homes for the physically handicapped, equal to 0.2 places per 1,000 population. This figure does not include places in holiday homes and in establishments catering for small numbers of physically handicapped people along with others.
