§ Mr. John FraserIn November 1974, 3,452 males and 514 females were unemployed in Springburn and 147 vacancies were held at the employment office and 30 at the careers office. The vacancy figures relate only to vacancies notified to employment offices and careers offices and are not a measure of total vacancies. Springburn forms part of the Glasgow travel-to-work area. In this area as a whole in November 23,503 males and 3,291 females were unemployed and 5,475 vacancies were held at employment offices and 1,620 at careers offices.
