§ Mr. Harold WalkerIt is proposed to amend the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 by including in the Employment Protection Bill provisions to give the Health and Safety Commission responsibility for health and safety matters relating exclusively to agriculture. The Bill will also provide for the removal from the Act of Section 2(5) which permits the election of safety representatives other than those appointed by recognised trade unions. As already announced, the Bill will be introduced during the present Session of Parliament.
