HC Deb 02 December 1974 vol 882 c366W
Mr. Maxwell-Hyslop

asked the Minister of Overseas Development whether she will make arrangements for gifts of clothing, etc., for refugees in Cyprus to be sent at concessionary rates to addresses in Cyprus and the sovereign base areas.

Mrs. Hart

I have set aside a sum of £6,000 to help meet transport costs in RAF aircraft for urgent relief supplies provided by voluntary societies in this country, and over six tons of supplies has been sent under this arrangement. This is, of course, only a small part of our relief aid for Cyprus reported in the reply I gave on 14th November to my hon. Friend the Member for Sheffield, Heeley (Mr. Hooley).—[Vol. 881, c. 239.]
