HC Deb 10 April 1974 vol 872 c157W
Mr. Wrigglesworth

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what is Her Majesty's Government's policy towards the appeal by the International Committee of the Red Cross for financial contributions for the conference of Government experts at Lucerne in June which will discuss possible prohibitions on the use of certain conventional weapons.

Mr. Hattersley

We have offered the ICRC £1,100 towards the cost of the conference. Parliament will be asked to approve the necessary Supplementary Estimate in due course. In the meantime an advance will be sought from the Contingencies Fund.
