asked the Secretary of State for the Environment when he expects work to begin on the cleaning of the Palace of Westminster.

As soon as expenditure of over £2 million can be justified. In the meantime I am reporting the results of the feasibility study to the Services Committee.

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on the future of New Palace Yard.

The Services Committee is reconsidering the possibilities in the light of the debate of 10th December 1973.
