HC Deb 08 April 1974 vol 872 c39W
Mr. Skeet

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will give an assurance that in the renegotiation of the terms of entry into the Common Market Her Majesty's Government will conclude no secret treaty containing special terms with any of the Common Market members and that he will disclose the full terms of any settlement reached to the House of Commons.

Mr. Hattersley

I am happy to assure the hon. Member that secret treaties will form no part of our renegotiation of the terms of entry into the EEC and that the full results of the renegotiation will be made known to the House.
