§ Mr. Loveridgeasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT a table, by regions, showing the local authorities which have provided the highest and lowest numbers of facilities under Section 2 of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act 1970 in respect of (a) telephones and equipment, (b) aids for daily living, and (c) practical assistance in carrying out adaptations to the home, and also figures giving the national averages and the relative figures for the London borough of Havering.
§ Mr. Alfred MorrisFor the London borough of Havering, and for all English local authorities from which complete information was received by my Department, the figures per 1,000 of the population, for the year ending 31st March 1973, the latest date for which figures are at present available, were as follows:
in the case of personal aids, provision may also have been made by health departments and/or voluntary organisations, and because housing authorities may also have carried out adaptations to council homes.
