§ The Prime MinisterThis expenditure is already subject to a high degree of public accountability and a change in the arrangements would not be justified. My hon. Friend, with me and other right hon. and hon. Members, was a member of the Select Committee on the Civil List which surveyed all these matters and made recommendations to the House.
