§ 70. Mr. Terry Walkerasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will bring in legislation to require that members of planning committees at local government level are compelled to declare their interests before they are appointed to the planning authority.
§ Mr. John SilkinThis is one of the subjects considered by the Committee on Local Government Rules of Conduct under Lord Redcliffe-Maud's chairmanship. The committee hopes to report at about the end of April and we should await its recommendations.
