Mr. Tom Boardman

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is his estimate of the money remitted from the United Kingdom by immigrants to their country of birth during the period of 12 months up to the latest convenient date.

Such remittances are not separately identified in the balance of payments statistics, and I regret that the information on which an estimate could be based is not available.
