28. Mr. Marks

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what guidance he will give to local education authorities and diocesan education committees discussing the reorganisation of denominational secondary schools on comprehensive lines as to the participation of direct grant schools in such schemes.

Mr. Prentice

Guidance will be given in the circular which will be issued later this month.

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will make a statement regarding his policy toward direct grant schools.

44. Mr. McCrindle

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will make a statement on his policy towards the direct grant schools.
