HC Deb 01 April 1974 vol 871 c248W
39. Mr. Wigley

asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will take appropriate action to set up a National Development Authority for Wales to initiate and coordinate economic development throughout the country, backed with an investment fund, for use in the establishment of economic growth centres.

Mr. John Morris

No. I am responsible for the co-ordination of economic and other forms of development in the Principality and I see no need to establish a separate National Development Authority.
