asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will arrange for powers of attorney given by Service men serving abroad to their representatives to be accepted in this country for all purposes by the Inland Revenue.

No. There are certain duties which the Inland Revenue is advised cannot be delegated by a power of attorney.
