Mr. Alfred Morris

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list the right hon. and hon. Members of the House who have made representations to him against his refusal to provide immediate grant support for the proposed Manchester central underground rail link.

Mr. Peyton

Several right hon. and hon. Members have written to me and other Ministers of the Department but I do not think it would be in accordance with practice to list them.
