Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will publish estimates of investment in each United Kingdom planning region by private manufacturing industry in each of the years between 1963 and the nearest avail- able date, using 1963 prices; and if he will expressible the Scottish figures as a percentage of the United Kingdom total.

Details of investment by all regions are not available for each year, but figures for Scotland up to 1970 and for all United Kingdom regions in 1970 are set out in the following tables:
