HC Deb 25 October 1973 vol 861 c583W
Mr. Kilfedder

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland whether he expects the Northern Ireland Housing Executive to complete the erection of 75,000 houses, which was the number envisaged in the five-year plan 1970 to 1975.

Mr. David Howell

The programme of 73,500 houses was for all housing agencies, including private enterprise. So far, over 43,000 houses have been completed, but progress has been slowed down in some areas because of civil disorders, and the number of houses completed during the period may fall short of the target.
