§ Mrs. Shirley Williamsasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether his Department has yet studied the report on the effect on water resources of the possible expansion of new towns at Harlow and Stevenage.
§ Mr. Graham PageThe quality of water in the River Lee and the implications for the public water supply drawn from that river are currently being studied by the statutory water and sewerage bodies concerned. My Department is keeping in touch with the progress of that study, and the information derived from it will of course be taken into account along with all other aspects of the possible expansion of Harlow and Stevenage.
