§ Mr. van StraubenzeeUp to 30th September 1973, the Housing Executive had advanced £5,340,330 on mortgage to 1,578 applicants for home loans. The average size of mortgage was £3,384. In addition, offers had been made to 278 applicants and a further 593 applications were under consideration. The average time taken to process a normal application was six to eight weeks. No limit has so far been imposed on the total amount of money available under the home loans scheme.
