§ Mr. Sillarsasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if, in view of the spread of oil development to the area covered by the Highlands and Islands Development Board, and the number of trade unionists now located in the Highlands, he will now appoint someone from the trade union movement to the Highlands and islands Development Board.
§ Mr. Gordon CampbellThe board already has as many members as the statute permits but the Highlands and Islands Consultative Council, which advises the board, has two members nominated by the Scottish Trades Union Congress.
