§ Mr. Shersbyasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if she will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT the total amount of money spent on direct grant school education in the last year for which figures are available by: (i) the Department of Education and Science, (ii) local education authorities, (iii) trust funds of direct grant schools, and (iv) parents.
§ Mr. St. John-Stevas(i) £7 million; (ii) £10.9 million; (iii) about £0.7 million; (iv) £8.9 million. The figures are for England and Wales for the financial year 1971–72.
