§ Mr. NottIn the first 10 months of 1973 foreign currency borrowing by the public sector amounted to £905 million, and the reserves rose by £344 million. The deficit on visible trade in the same period was £,587 million, seasonally adjusted—the surplus on invisibles in this period was around £650 million.
