§ Mr. Sillarsasked the Lord President of the Council if, in order to make the views and recommendations of the Kilbrandon Commission more widely known, he will take steps to publish a shortened and cheaper version of the commission's report.
§ Mr. PriorI understand that the Royal Commission itself considered publication of a short version and decided against it. Many of the issues involved are unavoidably complicated, and in view of their importance there is much to be said for studying the arguments in full. I do not believe, therefore, that it would be appropriate or helpful for the Government to publish their own short version.
