§ 40. Mr. Wingfield Digbyasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether, in view of oil shortages, he will initiate a new study of nuclear propulsion for large merchant ships and a scheme for making it more attractive to British shipowners.
§ Mr. OnslowI have already arranged for the basic data in the 1971 Nuclear Ship Study to be updated, and this will be done as soon as possible. When the results are available I will consider what further action may be necessary.
