Mr. and Mrs. MacKay have unfortunately not been allowed to see their son but after representations by the High Commission were allowed to send and receive letters which resulted in their son being given a temporary home with friends in Lilongwe where he is being well looked after.
We have expressed our concern about this case on a number of occasions to the Malawi Government. The High Commissioner has been instructed to re-new his requests for access to Mr. and Mrs. MacKay.
