asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will seek to have discussions with officers of the London borough of Wandsworth on the possible rail development within the borough arising from the Channel Tunnel development; and if he will make a statement.

British Rail is now considering with the GLC how consultation with the London boroughs concerned can best be carried out.
